80 Hour Level 2 Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing

This course meets the industry required classroom training hours. It is ideal for someone who wants not only a practical working knowledge in using phased arrays, but an in-depth knowledge of phased array theory and inspection design.

This course is also a great way to gain PDH towards ASNT and AWS re-certifications.

The Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing Level 2 course meets the requirements of SNT-TC-1A and ASME Section V. Our course follows ASNT’s CP-105 and also cover Nadcap’s AC7114 topics!

Designed around Olympus phased array instruments, our standard course is about 40% lecture and 60% practical exercises. The practical exercises are designed to give the students a solid understanding of set-up, focal law use, calibration, inspection design, and application. We go a step further to show the student how the theory actually applies to ultrasonic beams, how it can be calculated, and how it impacts the results. The course also covers operation, scanning, and data evaluation of primarily weldments.

The cost for our standard course is $4,000. This includes the required hours of classroom training, training materials, and training certificate. General, specific, and practical exams may be administered for an additional fee. Please contact us for more information.

NOTE: Students are required to bring their own phased array instrument to class. If that is not a possibility, we can provide one for an additional fee. We provide all of the cables, transducers, and couplant for class.

If you have a unique inspection situation, we can tailor a course for that! We know phased arrays are a powerful tool that are typically used for specific types of inspections,e.g. composite, forgings, castings, etc. If your facility falls into this category, sending your inspectors to a general class where they will learn to inspect welds may not be that beneficial. This course meets the industry required classroom training hours. It is ideal for any inspector who needs to satisfy the formal training requirements or any person wanting a deeper knowledge of Ultrasonic Testing. This course is a great way to gain PDH towards ASNT and AWS re-certifications.

32 or 20 Hour Level 1 and 2 Magnetic Particle Testing

Currently, this course is only available on request. We administer the course at your facility using your products and equipment. We'll tailor the class to focus on your specific inspection techniques, products, procedures, forms, and concerns. Our 20 hour class satisfies SNT-TC-1A requirements while the 32 hour course satisfies NAS 410 requirements. Please contact us for more information about this course.

32 or 12 Hour Level 1 and 2 Penetrant Testing

These courses meet the industry required classroom training hours. It is ideal for any inspector who needs to satisfy the formal training requirements or any person wanting a deeper knowledge of Penetrant Testing. This course is a great way to gain PDH towards ASNT and AWS re-certifications.

40 Hour Level 1 and 40 Hour Level 2 Eddy Current Testing

Currently, this course is only available on request. We can administer this course at one of our training locations or yours. We'll tailor the class to focus on your specific inspection techniques, products, procedures, forms, and concerns. The Eddy Current Testing Level 1 and 2 courses meet the requirements of SNT-TC-1A and NAS 410. Our courses follow ASNT's CP-105, NAS 410's section 6.1.2, and also cover Nadcap's AC7114 topics! 24 Hour Visual Testing

This courses meets the industry required classroom training hours. It is ideal for any inspector who needs to satisfy the formal training requirements or any person wanting a deeper knowledge of Visual Testing. This course is a great way to gain PDH towards ASNT and AWS re-certifications.

8 Hour Welder Workmanship Training

This courses is designed to satisfy the welder training and associated testing requirement from Section 5.2.3 of S907-AQ-GIB-010/248. This course is available on request and can be taught at one of our training facilities or yours. It includes the required hours of classroom training, training materials, training certificate, final exam, and exam results. A 1 day program audit may be added to the course to satisfy the program audit requirement from paragraph 5.2.3.1.(g) of S907-AQ-GIB-010/248. Please contact us for more information!

40 Hour Level 2 Advanced Conventional Ultrasonic Detection, Sizing, and Characterization

This course is perfect for the seasoned Level 2 that wants to improve their weld inspection skills. This course is also a great way to gain PDH towards ASNT and AWS re-certifications.

40 Hour Level 2 Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing Advanced Detection, Sizing, and Characterization

This course is perfect for the seasoned Level 2 that wants to improve their data evaluation skills. This course is also a great way to gain PDH towards ASNT and AWS re-certifications.

24 Hour RollerFORM Inspection

This course is designed around Evident's (formerly Olympus) RollerFORM and OmniScan SX. It will cover the use and operation of the RollerFORM and give a general overview of basic phased array theory. It is ideal course if you recently purchased a RollerFORM and have no idea how to use it or what it's capable of. Previous phased array experience is not necessary. This course is also a great way to gain PDH towards ASNT and AWS re-certifications.

32 Hour Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing Introduction / Refresher

This course is designed to provide a general overview of phased array theory and application. It is suited for the individual that isn't required to take formal training and who wants a working knowledge of phased array theory and operation. A thorough understanding of ultrasonics is recommended but not required. Previous phased array experience is not necessary. This course is also a great way to gain PDH towards ASNT and AWS re-certifications.

24 hour Ultrasonic Testing Refresher

This course is designed to give a general overview of the Ultrasonic Testing method, theory, and application. It is ideal for any person that is wanting a deeper knowledge of Ultrasonic Testing or a refresher course before certification. This course is a great way to gain PDH towards ASNT and AWS re-certifications.
